Kalu M. A. Abosi

Kalu Abosi is a Lagos based commercial lawyer with over 20 years’ practical experience. Kalu has worked in the legal services industry, investment banking and oil & gas sectors of the economy. One of Nigeria’s top M&A and regulatory compliance specialists, He regularly counsels C-suite executives and board level appointees and is a trusted advisor to foreign and local investors on Nigerian business environment.
Kalu Abosi has been involved in a number of novel landmark commercial transaction and has worked for the Nigerian government in various volunteer capacities related to financial services law and practice
Chairman of the Capital Markets Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association’s Section on Business Law 2017-date
Was appointed by the Honorable Minister for Finance as part of committee that reviewed the primary securities legislation in Nigeria and coordinated the subcommittee on comparative analysis of related legislation in select foreign countries.
Was a member of the Rules and Compliance Committee of the Nigerian Securities &Exchange Commission from 2011 till change in SEC CMC structures.
Was a member of the joint committee of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group and NBA-SBL that reviewed and recommended legislation for review to aid ease of doing business in Nigeria.

Vice President

Okenwa Kalu Emekwo

Okenwa is very passionate about community and youth development. He has coordinated various academic and youth development and economic empowerment initiatives within and outside the Abiriba Community. Since joining the League of Abiriba Professionals, (LeAP), he has served in several committees and executive positions.
Okenwa is a graduate of Federal University of Technology, Owerri, where he obtained a bachelor of technology degree in Geophysics. He also obtained a Master of Science degree, in International Management, with specialization in Oil and Gas operations, from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom. He is currently the Operations and Shipping Manager for SunTrust Oil Company Nigeria Limited, Lagos.
He is currently the Vice President of the League of Abiriba Professional and also chairs the LeAP strategy committee.

Secretary

Samuel Daminabo

Samuel Daminabo is a seasoned professional in the Procurement and Supply Chain Management with over 10years blended experience in Supply Chain Management, Contract Management, and Distribution and he’s very committed to identifying and implementing continuous improvement in the Procurement and Supply Chain space.
He holds a Masters degree in Environmental Management from the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, and a Bachelor’s degree in Project Management Technology from the Federal university of Technology Owerri. Samuel is very passionate about Youth development and empowerment and he’s very involved in the LeAP “Doing and Giving Goals”. He is currently the General Secretary of LeAP.

Mrs Adanne Uche

Adanne Uche is the founder and C.E.O of Ady’s Food Mart is a graduate of Foreign Languages and Literature (French/German) from the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State Nigeria. A mother of 4 beautiful children. She has worked as
business Development manager at Tranos Contracting Limited and Client Service Executive at Promoworld Limited where she won and handled accounts like MTN, Etisalat, Nigerian Breweries, 7UP Bottling Company, etc.

A strong-willed and resilient woman who found herself helping people cook healthy. Her flare for food started way back in Secondary school, trained by her media icon single mother with 5 boys, she was saddled with taking care of her 4 older and 1 younger brothers especially in the kitchen department.

She is an Alumni of FATE Foundation. She is one woman that constantly seeks to improve herself hence she has attended trainings & courses for personal improvement like the Development Bank of Nigeria Entrepreneurship Program, Road to Growth Program sponsored by Cherie Blaire Foundation for Women/Exxon Mobil, Goldman Sachs 10,000 women Entrepreneurship course, Pan African Women Empowerment Network, and The African Women Power Network, Academy for Women Entrepreneurship Program sponsored by the United State Government, SheWorks Accelerators program by the Lagos State Government, ARISE Program by AGRF Africa where she was in a shark tank investment pitch competition.

She is a proud member of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), ImpactHer, The Academy of African Startups (TAAS), Enterprising Women (NEWN), BellaAfricana, AGS Tribe, Borderless Trade Network, and many more

She is a beneficiary of grants like the Biodun and Ibukunle and Chima Anyaso Seed Invest Grant (2020 & 2021), the The Global Alliance For Improved Nutrition (GAIN) grant (2021) and the United States African Development Foundation (USADF) grant.

She is a guest chef on TVC Continental, “Wake Up Nigeria” and also a guest chef on Pop-Central on DSTV. Safe to say that her products have found itself in many supermarkets across Nigeria and just recently left the shores of the country to making its first appearance in the UK.

Uche Anagha Eleanya

Uche has started his career in DiamondBank, had a short stint at Access Bank before his transition to Business Consulting.

Uche is an ardent believer in the inherent potentials of Abiriba and would love to see our hometown restored to its former glory.

Treasurer

Mathew Okoreni

Mathew Okoreni has over twelve (12) years experience spread in Administration, French Consultant and Human Resources. He joined Diamond Bank plc on July 21,2008 and has worked in various units of HR, from HR Benefits Officer, to HR Business partner West Africa Monetary Union (WAMU) zone. He championed the automation of some processes of the unit including loan application, staff professional and club subscriptions as well as payment of staff benefits ( relocation allowance, entitlements) and built a database for the unit thus improving the turnaround time of transactions.

In August 1,2016, he joined Diamond Academy as Learning & Development Consultant, WAMU region to support and implement the strategic objective of the bank to replicate our processes and learning interventions of the bank in that region. The bank successfully implemented 80% of the processes and strategic learning interventions. This includes the leadership framework ,the new performance management system and the Learning Management System. After the divestment of the WAMU region, He currently the learning partner IT Services , Corporate Communications, Operations and support staff.

Mathew is an Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), member of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management and Development (CIPD, UK), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Association des RH de la Cote D’Ivoire (ARHCI). He has a Bachelor in International Relations and Masters in International Law and Political Sciences in the Université Nationale du Bénin (Benin Republic)

Nelson Imo Lekwuwa

Dr Nelson Imo Lekwuwa, a Natural Medicine Practitioner and a Visionary of the War against Cancer Project. A Promoter of You Can Beat Cancer (YCBC) Project along with other Medical Practitioners – a platform through which we reach out to the less-privileged to CONQUER CANCER.
A Fertility Consultant and Nutritional Medicine Counsellor.
He is the founder and CEO of Nature’s Answer Health Care Center and author of the book, THE HOME PHYSICIAN

Mrs Ndidi Nduka

Ndidi Nduka is a Certified Customer Experience Professional CSIA America. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Fellow Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria ICEN, With over a decade of experience in retail banking & SME in Diamond Bank and subsequently Access Bank Plc.
Ndidi is passionate about promoting creativity & enterprise in our Abiriba Community via the “Doing & Giving Goals” initiative.

Philips Akwari

Philips Agwu Igiri Akwari is a visual storyteller whose expression is usually through documentary photography. His works seeks to understand trends, patterns and relationships between his subjects and their immediate environments. His documentary works has been focused on the everyday nuances and the cultural elements in the areas of his investigations. He loves to capture the moments and infuses still motion into his works.
Akwari had his primary and secondary education in his hometown Abiriba where he grew up. His journey into photography started in 1997 when he was working in an uncle’s photo lab in Aba before getting admission in the university, a job he did during the holidays throughout his undergraduate days and beyond. Apart from Aba, he also lived and worked in Uyo and Ikot Ekpene in Akwa Ibom State in the course of the job. He served in Yenagoa Bayelsa State during his youth service in 2002 before moving to Lagos in 2003. His first camera was a Yaschika MG-1 purchased in 1998 mostly for field works and hence it laid the real foundation for his journey into photography. His photography career started in 2013 after he returned from study in India.
Akwari holds B.Sc and M.Sc degrees in Geography from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and University of Ibadan respectively. In 2012, he bagged a Diploma in Photography and Videography from the Craft Film School in New Delhi, India. Akwari’s 2017 photo of Lagos was published by the World Finance Magazine. In 2015, his photo was also among the Best 30 Selection in the IAM Alive photo contest organized by Nikon Nigeria. In 2014, he won the Best Lagos Photo Award organised by Taskdirect, an affiliate of Zinox computers.
In 2019, his series of exhibition “The Rich Abiriba Heritage” which explores the cultures, dance, food, Architectures and Arts of the Abiriba people of south eastern Nigeria were showcased at the Thought Pyramid Art Centres in Lagos and Abuja, Centre For Memories Enugu and then returned home to Abiriba on the Christmas day.
On the 31st of December 2019, the Enachioken-in-council (the paramount ruler of the Abiriba kingdom) recognized Akwari along with others as Akparawa Ena (Emerging leaders of Abiriba kingdom) in a colourful ceremony at his palace in Agboezi (King’s palace). Akwari is a mentee at the Nlele Institute, African centre for Contemporary Arts which is based in Lagos. He has trained over 30 aspiring photographers in the Skill Acquisition Scheme program of the House that Wisdom Built Ministry. His book “Abiriba: A Photographic Narrative of a Rich Cultural Heritage” is under publication. It will be in the shelves before the end of 2021.

Ms Victoria Mba

Mba Victoria is highly innovative, risk conscious, performance driven chartered accountant, great decision maker, competent and efficient team player with excellent organizational, numerical, detail-Oriented, sales, financial and analytical skills in problem solving. She has core strengths in leadership and vast experience in the banking, automobile, pharmaceutical, health, consulting, hospitality, agricultural, real estate, non-governmental organisation and public sector. Dedicated in rendering services to humanity and mostly driven in empowering the girl child, orphans and helpless/poor mothers.

Kalu Agwu Kalu

Kalu Agwu Kalu is an experienced Sales and Marketing professional with two decades in the FMCG sector. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria IMC and holds an MBA in Marketing Management from Lagos State University and bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Calabar. He is also a member of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria NIMN. Kalu is passionate about Youth development and empowerment and is actively involved in the LEAP “Doing and Giving Goals”.
